Dear Panther Nation,
It is with great sadness that we are informing you of the passing of Mrs. Shirley Gathers. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this time. As you know, Mrs. Gathers loved Lookeba-Sickles and was a Panther through and through. She started her teaching career at L-S in 1983. Mrs. Gathers taught in the classroom for 30 years before becoming principal in 2014 and retiring in 2023. Through the years, Mrs. Gathers touched numerous lives in the classroom, as a 4-H leader, class sponsor, counselor, and friend.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Monday, October 7, 2024 at the high school gymnasium in Sickles. There will be no school that day.
